What are the global standards of beauty? Consider whitening or brightening products, hair styles, and cosmetic surgery in all parts of the world. How and why do these standards exist and how far will people go to meet them? Join us for a discussion on the racialization and gendered norms of beauty, how it is portrayed in media, and its harmful implications for communities of color.
