Money Management Workshop

Mo‘ money mo’ problem! Is it your first time managing your own budget? Feel like you could better manage your spending? Want to learn about building credits? Always confused about tax? International Center and the Paul Merage School of Business are having a Money Management Workshop on Monday, January 22nd, featuring Mr. Feroz Ansari, a Certified Financial Planner. We will introduce topics including spending management, financial goals, emergency funds, and basic tax information.


Digital Keys to Success in College

Are you hungry in the middle of the night but too lazy to drive to McDonald’s? Are you curious of how your friends stay organized electronically? Are you looking forward to exploring the cities but do not have a car? Are you tired of waiting in line for a morning Starbucks coffee but your class is about to start in 3 minutes?

With a swipe of your finger, everything is accessible on your phone. Join us at a Mobile App workshop hosted by the International Center to learn about some cool apps that can make your college life a million times easier.


Game Night

UCI Libraries and the International Center have partnered up to bring International Game Night to campus. We are proud to host this evening of socializing and friendly competition over some of the world's favorite board games and free snacks. We wholeheartedly encourage students to take a break from studying and come learn a new board game or play an old favorite while making new friends.


Hair in the U.S.: Trends, Common Phrases, How to Braid Workshop

What are the trendy hairstyles right now? How do I do my hair for a fun outing? What about appropriate hairstyles for professional interview? If you are interested in learning about hair trends in the U.S. style tips for a variety of occassions, terminology used to describe hair in English, and how to braid hair, this workshop is for you! This workshop will empower you with the ability to express yourself through hairstyles, and allow an opportunity to bond over one question we all ask ourselves every day: “What do I do with my hair?!”
All genders are welcomed as we will be going over all kinds of hairstyles in the first half of the workshop. The second half of the workshop will focus on braiding hair and how to braid.
