The following information is for Graduate Coordinators requesting F-1 or J-1 student immigration documents for a new graduate student.
All request forms must be submitted to the International Center through the Graduate Coordinator Upload tool. A request can be uploaded after the student is admitted, submits a positive SIR, and indicates that they will require an F-1 or J-1 student visa.
Please login with your UCInetID and follow the instructions to upload a complete F-1 or J-1 graduate student packet. The general processing time for a new visa document is 15 business days from the time a complete request is submitted to the International Center. Incomplete requests will require us to email you for additional information and may delay the issuance of the student’s visa document. Please be assured, however, that we will work as quickly as possible to process all visa document requests for new students.
The admitting department must upload the following documents:
- A complete New Graduate Student Request—Student 2024-2025 packet from the international student.
- A complete New Graduate Student Request—Department 2024-2025 document.
- Student’s Financial Documents (if applicable)
- Copy of student’s Passport Biographical Page
- Additional documentation, if applicable to the student (copy of current visa, dependent passports copies, etc.)
