If you are currently in a J-1 program at another U.S. sponsoring institution and have been officially invited to UCI by a UCI academic department, you may be eligible to transfer your current J-1 program to UCI.
Please coordinate with your UCI host department to submit necessary documents to the International Center. The UCI International Center will review J-1 documents to determine if you are eligible to transfer your current J-1 program to UCI. The UCI International Center will coordinate with your current J-1 sponsoring institution, the UCI host department on the J-1 SEVIS record transfer process.
