New International Student Webinars

The UCI International Center is hosting a series of four webinars for new and transfer international students who will be in F-1 or J-1 visa status. These sessions will provide helpful information about the visa process and how to prepare for your arrival at UCI.

May 15, 2025, 7:00 AM – 8:00 AM (PST) – How to Request Your I-20 or DS-2019
During this session, you will learn how to request your I-20 or DS-2019 visa document, what documents are required, and tips to avoid common delays in processing.

June 24, 2025, 7:00 AM – 8:00 AM (PST) – Visa Resources & Travel Preparation
During this session, you will learn where to find official F-1 and J-1 visa guidance and what to keep in mind as you prepare for your visa interview and travel to the U.S.

June 25, 2025, 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM (PST) – SEVIS Transfers (For SEVIS transfer students only)
During this session, you will learn the steps to transfer your SEVIS record to UCI and what to expect after submitting your I-20 visa document request.

July 22, 2025, 7:00 AM – 8:30 AM (PST) – Pre-Arrival
During this session, you will learn information to prepare for your arrival to the U.S., information about immigration compliance, and involvement opportunities at the International Center.
