Requesting I-20 Visa Document
- Apply and Enroll in Summer Session
- Once you have been admitted and enrolled as a Summer Session Visiting Student, you will receive instructions from Summer Session on how to request your I-20. Follow the instructions carefully and provide all the necessary information and documents.
- I-20 Issuance
- Once the UCI International Center receives your I-20 visa document request from Summer Session, it will take 5 business days to process. After the I-20 is processed, we will send the I-20 visa document to you via DocuSign. You may check the status of your I-20 visa document here.
Transfer-In Students
To transfer your SEVIS record to UCI, you need to contact the International Student Advisor at your current school and request them to transfer your SEVIS record to UCI using our SEVIS school code, which is LOS214F01962000. Once the release date of your SEVIS record is determined by you and your current advisor, UCI can issue your I-20 visa document. Please note that the processing time for your new visa document is 5 business days after the SEVIS release date. It’s important to keep in mind that UCI does not use a transfer-in form for students transferring into our school.
